About the Journal
At the nexus of research and practice, Research Insight in Science Education (RISE) welcomes contributions from researchers, teachers, psychometricians, curriculum designers, museum/lab educators, evaluators, policymakers, and edtech developers—across all science domains and contexts (classrooms, labs, fieldwork, community programs, digital/remote).
Submissions must pair methodological rigor with real‑world utility and include an “Implications and Lessons Learned” section translating findings into guidance for instruction, assessment, professional development, and policy.
We publish:
- Research Articles (empirical studies; instrument design/validation; program/curriculum evaluations; classroom/lab interventions)
- Conceptual/Integrative papers (theory/method advances, reviews, critiques, equity/ethics analyses)
- Special Issues led by guest editors
Research Insight in Science Education (RISE) promotes transparency and integrity: share instruments/materials/data/code when feasible; report validity evidence and limitations; consider registered reports and replications. Our goal is to bridge rigorous inquiry and actionable practice to improve science education measurably.
