Abstract

This study intends to gain an understanding of how academic stress, support from family, and social interaction with peers affect the level of emotional intelligence in students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Jambi. The mrtode applied in this study is a quantitative method using a survey approach. Data were collected from 209 college students through an online questionnaire distributed using Google Forms.The study found that the influence of family social support played an important role in alleviating academic stress and improving students' emotional intelligence. Social interaction with peers also contributes positively in efforts to reduce academic stress and optimize students' emotional intelligence. Furthermore, this study also revealed that emotional intelligence itself positively affects the level of academic stress and the quality of social interaction with peers in students. These findings align with previous research and reinforce the importance of family support and social interaction between peers in maintaining students' mental and emotional health.
