Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to ECOVANT undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's scope and compliance with publication standards. The editorial screening evaluates originality, methodological quality, academic writing standards, and contribution to the fields of economics, development, management, and accounting.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial screening proceed to a double-blind peer review process. Typically, the review process requires approximately 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.

Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the submitted topic. Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and novelty

  • Theoretical contribution

  • Methodological rigor

  • Relevance to economics, development, management, or accounting

  • Practical and policy implications

  • Clarity of presentation and academic writing quality

In cases where reviewer recommendations differ significantly, the editorial board may assign an additional reviewer.

The final editorial decision is based on reviewer recommendations and may result in:

  • Accepted without revision

  • Accepted with minor revisions

  • Accepted with major revisions

  • Rejected

Manuscripts outside the journal’s scope or failing to meet minimum academic standards may be rejected during the initial screening stage.
