Peer Review Process

Every manuscript submitted to Sahita: Journal of Community Innovation and Empowerment undergoes the following review process:

1. Initial Screening (Desk Review) The editor examines the manuscript's alignment with the journal's focus and scope, completeness of files, formatting compliance, and similarity check results. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements will be returned to the author without proceeding to the review stage.
2. Reviewer Assignment Manuscripts that pass the desk review are forwarded to at least two (2) peer reviewers with relevant expertise in the manuscript's topic.
3. Review Process (Double-Blind Peer Review) This journal applies a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential from each other to maintain objectivity in the assessment.
4. Editorial Decision Based on the review results, the editor will decide one of the following:

• • Accepted without revision
  • Accepted with minor revisions
  • Accepted with major revisions
  • Rejected

5. Author Revision Authors are given the opportunity to revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments and resubmit within the specified timeframe.
6. Final Decision The Editor-in-Chief determines the final publication decision after the revisions are deemed adequate.

Estimated review process time: ± 2–4 weeks from the manuscript passing the desk review (may vary depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity).
